Keyuan covers a small area, because of the compact layout, suitable spacing, edge-pressing arrangement and leaving the middle of the open space for the garden, so the line of sight is wide. This design expands the viewing distance, and at the same time presents an effect of seeing big from small.Due to the vast area of the main courtyard, in order to control the space, a towering invitation pavilion is set up to form the center of gravity of the composition of the whole court. It is about 17.5 meters high and has four floors. Although the Yaoshan pavilion is large in volume and the bottom is blocked, but there are Shuangqing hall in front of it, and there are Qu corridors and platforms on the side, so the visitors will feel that the Yaoshan pavilion is high but not powerful, tall but not isolated, and is coordinated to the relaxed atmosphere of the garden.  

The facade of inviting Yaoshan Pavilion is shaped like a watchtower, which is very distinctive. It was the place where the owner enjoyed the scenery for leisure. Think of the master in those years, he climbed high and look at a glance of the mountains and rivers: Keyuan is surrounded by the rivers, the green waves are rippling and the smoke is grey.Looking down to the Keyuan, there is a scene in the space and the sparse place is not empty,  seeing big from small, dense but not narrow, quiet but not dull and often has a quiet fragrance. For such a wonderful view , Ju Chao said: "Looking at the distant Ming Sea(溟海) and the Bohai(渤海) makes me feel cleansed. As long as I clap my hands, the mountains seem to be coming towards me. Do not feel that this world is noisy, the laughter of the lower class is like the cry of flies."
